GRANITE COUNTERTOP CLEANING & PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

Basic Cleaning

Use a clean cloth dampened with warm water for general cleaning and daily spills. Use a soft cloth to promptly “blot” dry. The addition of a mild dish soap may be used to completely remove oil, grease or stubborn food particles. However, over the years, the repeated use soap can cause build up and dull the countertop’s shine.

Preventative Maintenance

Granite is a very hard stone, however, in high traffic areas, the surface can still develop unwanted scratches and dulling over time. Follow these best practices for years of a maintenance free countertop.

Rule of Thumb

For cabinets that last a lifetime, warm water or mild soapy water is the best cleanser.
